why the worst?

I'm just curious to hear the reasons, not trying to argue here

aside from my personal preference, I think the other versions are much more... banal? bland? and less recognizable and iconic than this one

I hate this version of April because she’s ugly, I hate her hair, her yellow suit is hideous, and she’s the service DID being constantly captured by Shredder by being unable to defend herself, that is why I consider it to be the worst that has been achieved.

Nevertheless I like the work that was done on this drawing.

everyone has their tastes I'd say

I think she's the hottest, I dig the hair and I absolutely love the yellow suit

I think she's the service DiD more due to her recklessness and thrill-seeking than anything else

I admit I didn't watch much of the 2012 version, but my humble opinion is that one is the worst april.

Made her the love interest of one of the heroes, gave her ninjutsu skills like the heroes and also boost her with psychic power. It was the most banal and corny way to handle a female supporting character by that time.

also the creators shied away completely from any eyecandy aspects (for good or bad) except when they didn't, given some camera angles and poses (which might be considered worse given the character was a teen)

the 1987 version aside from DiD aspects was much more interesting and original (for their time, of course!): no-one's love interest, workaholic career woman in her late 20s, funny and with spunk, she was the sarcastic adult to juxtapose to the immature heroes.

IMHO of course

plus the design was very rad and flashy, something i often dig

but as said that's a matter of taste
