The Five of Swords is all about shallow, ego-based victories over others. Office fights, harrassing others on the internet, perhaps the big bully at your high school. Not knowing when to stop and that it won't make you a winner bringing others to tears - this card sums it all up!

Of course it's a metaphor, but I thought that "stealing a kid's lollipop" is a nice example as well and also easy to remember - nothing to be proud of, though! xD
