This is my entry for the 12th MandelBulb 3d Teaser - a weak of sta.sh/026ov4strdp3Both the main fractal and the fractal in the background are tweaks of the required parameter set.
The essence of the my tweak was to add Amazing Box to the other two formula.

For those interested in how the image was constructed here's some notes:
I rendered the background fractal twice - once in light blue and once in the earth colors. Β In Photoshop I faded one into the other and further altered the colors.
I rendered the main fractal. Β Added in the background render.
I used a low far plane value to allow the foreground to remain isolated.
