Depends on how you take it. I took it because i saw an oprotunity to show, or 'express', about how some kids have to fend for themselves, And no mater how rough it gets(why i put it in black and white), they still have to carry on, or as in the title says, 'walk on'.
Or if some are like my older brother, you just see a kid walking.

That is where you get into the subjectiveness of artistic expression. Seems like to get a point across like the one you felt you were making with this image you have to be more heavy handed by putting in more visual cues that this child is fending for himself or that his life is rough for a wider range of people to get it. For instance, tattered clothing, maybe some dirt on his arms and uncombed hair would have helped to "sell" it. However, if you don't like being heavy-handed, you like the image as is and/or you think people should get it as is that is your prerogative as the artist.

Right, I want people to see what they want, in a way. I want them to think about it, Why is he dressed like that? what does it mean? why is he alone? this photo could be taken plenty of ways. For instance, As you kindly suggested with the tattered clothing, In my opinion it may limit the thoughts for this photo, but may make for a better one. this shot wasn't taken for an exact purpose at the time, except to hopefully add some inspiration for myself later. I wish i had more setup for it at the time, but sadly i didn't. Thank you for the help about the clues, i will defiantly experiment with that next time.
