Well friend, for starters Im not a normal Sonic fan. I really dont like the original games. I find them the same boreing shtick over and over. I like the newer ones much better. But to answer your question I like a few pairs between Sonic and yes Merlina is one of them. I think a sequel to "Sonic and the Black Night" with Sonic as the king and Merlina his queen would be interesting. They do make a nice couple. Also yes, Shahra and Elise I also like to see with Sonic. And even the cute ghost girl from "Night of the werehog" could work out very well with Sonic. To really answer your question I think Sonic and Merlina would work out well. Although to many fans would make a stink about it, like with "2006". I see them getting along together just fine though.

Both Elise and Shahra turn to each other argueing once more over who should date Sonic first!
Slaps hand on face! Time for plan B. Winks at Sonic as I walk to the two girls. "Girls, would at least like a quick hint as to uh maybe uh, something Sonic would like? I do observe how people act enough to try and help others out in relationships."(AN) We hear a dash, Sonics gone!
