I knew I recognized the two of them!
And I immediately recognized the unforgetable lines of Hyperpsychomaniac's Cortes.
But why's he carrying Dahlia?

The idea is that it's when they first met, maybe just after the fall of the rebellion, when many of the pirate blocks were oblitterated by the Sphere. Maybe Dahlia lived on this particular block with her family, and managed to hide from the Sphere and survive long enough to be picked up by Cortes when he went to do the rounds, looking for survivors and supplies. All speculation, of course.
Also, I just adore seeing Dahlia and Cortes together. It makes me squee.
