I've finally found it! After I thought all these bloody years were all for nothing. I've tracked this damn monster down into this very cave. I cannot recall if it has been explored or not, so this is a very risky task. I'm going to have to wait a day or two just to see if it will come out before I go in. This beast could be hostile, so it would be easier to trap it outside than in a cave.

Ah, the day of independence for America. Hopefully it will be my lucky day and I can catch this thing and get that reward! I must confess I am rather scared to face this creature for I have not seen it, but oh how I've heard it, It makes violent screetches and gurgles. I've also been seeing blood trails, so it must be hurt.

This cave is rather disturbing. I don't like the atmosphere in here. I have a Lantern with me but it provides little light in this pitch black cave. It's hard for me to record things in this journal too because I have to stop to write in it, but it'll be worth it to record my steps to getting rich.
