Countess Coloratura Commission requested by

My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic mlp character named Countess Coloratura, a.k.a. “RaRa”.

Pony base used for this figure, is ironic. I used a Fashion Style Apple Jack. xD

I turned Apple Jack into her childhood friend!

To do such a transformation, this required me to strip Apple Jack of her mane and tail, and coat her entire body and head in Gesso to prep a base texture for RaRa’s white coat to bond to. (Oh my xD)

Of course, this was after severing AJ’s head off.

So full body repaint in white acrylics, eyes reshaped from AJ’s shape to RaRa’s, also hand-painted in acrylics then Cutie mark hand-painted. I added glitter acrylics to the music notes to make them pop.

All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp hair in the colors fairy’s breath pink and a couple stripes of mulberry crush. The darker purple stripes are old Halloween wig hair I’ve had for years.

Used 2 full packages of the Fairy’s Breath pink hair for this project, made her hair extra long enough so I could tie large knots like the original pony has. I added Tacky Glue in the knotted buns to make them permanent.

Veil is double-folded navy blue sheer scarf fabric stitched to a piece of black bias tape with silver plastic beads stitched on.

For the layered accessories and jacket, I started off with putting on a Lady Gaga playlist on YouTube on my T.V. for proper ambiance while crafting.

I then cut the indigo tank top from dyed leather, pinned it in place then started all the bead work. 2 layers of purple on the necklace and the cross-layered bracelets are all tiny beads I strung on floral wire. Choker is black bias tape with 3 blue oval-shaped beads in place.

Repeated the same black bias taple below the bracelets, and stitched the strings of plastic silver beads in place.

Cut her jacket from a nice deep neutral purple fabric, hand-stitched it, then lined it with purple wide silk ribbon, then the black bias tape along the cuffs.

I then stitched on strings of the silver plastic beads along the entire cuffs and lining.
