Description
This is a commission to do Johnny Depp's Ichabod likeness.

Pony base: engineered pose

Full body repaint in a custom-blend of acrylics for thick smooth paint application minus the lumps acrylics give off alone.

I painted the eyes in realism textures, to best-capture Johnny Depp's expression. For a pony, I think I did okay.

Mane is re-haired in authentic Hasbro pony doll hair in the colors of devil's food, garnet jewel, and roasted almond. Hair is styled with a curling iron.

Outfit is entirely hand-sewn from wide black and white satin ribbons, boots are authentic leather detailed in black hemp.
White lining detail of outfit is a ultra thin ribbon, and I added black plastic craft dots for the "buttons" of the outfit.

Used some long metal beads for the upper frame, and medium length long metal bead for the "trigger" on the barrel lens. The base of the barrel lens is a large wooden round bead with a hole in the middle where I anchored a barrel of flash aluminum sheet metal I shaped in the shape of a barrel. Detailed in gold elastic. Anchored the "trigger" inside the gold elastic with thin floral wire so it's flexible. Attached the barrel lens to the upper frame with thick gold wire and pliers. Left lens is detailed in fishing wire, and encased with black hemp cord. Dot frame details are metal half-circle craft dots.
Lenses are a clear aqua plastic.
The handles are gold elastic with long metal beads wired to them. The transparent yellow frames are transparent plastic craft squares. Attached the handles to the main lenses with black craft squares.

Glasses are removable via gold push-pins.
