Well, it's submission of mine ending with "1", and we all know what that means, IT'S A NEW SERIES! *applause*

Yes, right now I'm working on not one, not two, but THREE different series, Gardevoir Chronicles (Slight Block, next chapter halfway done), Phantom Sonata (HUGE Block, next chapter blank), and now this, Rathian Romance (Next page already planned out, currently blank).

In case anyone can't figure it out (which makes me sad) this comic is based on Monster Hunter Tri, the most AWESOME game ever made. The moment I started playing it, I stopped being me, and started being AWESOME. True story.

Since I was already doing a lot of written works (Two Pokemon series and a few non-Pokemon one-shots here and there), I decided to start working on my drawing skills, thus this was born. I decided that a yonkoma comic would be best to do.

Why "Rathian Romance" was chosen, well, my Monster Hunter love is stated above already, but to be specific, I love the Rathian, she's so powerful, graceful, and the most fun to hunt (And fantastically gorgeous, but that's just my opinion.). On a side note, my CAPTURE record for Rathian exceeds my capture record for the Great Jaggi, which is itself above 25. On another side note, my KILL record for the RATHALOS is just as high.

OKAY, now to talk about the individual strips. (I know, long-winded much?)

UNEXPECTED

The background differs from panel to panel, mainly because my pencil skill is not THAT good. The hunter in the corner, incidentally the male lead of the series, for now is not shown properly, aside from a badly-doodled Rathian Helm, so don't try to make him out. The "boss" by the way, is a Great Jaggi, in case anyone wants to know.

I tried my best on the Rathian - whose name will be revealed in the next strip - and I think she turned out nicely. I tried my best to keep her looking like a rathian, but yet make her simple to draw, and obviously feminine. With the Jaggia, though female as well, I tried simplicity over feminity. I can't decide on whether the Jaggia should be a permanent character as well, or just a foil...
