Description The first of the batch of AT's/PC's goes out to who asked for a race between his speedy superhero alter ego, 3rd Wheel, and the equally nimble UB-02 Beauty, AKA Pheromosa. With it's high offensive and speed stats, it's sure to be quite the opponent.

Yeah, Pheromosa's like "Yoo-hoo" or something like "Hey there, handsome!" or whatever flirty phrase you got in mind when she winked like that.

Thanks a million. Or at least seven. Just beware of those Beast Boosts.

Well, she can't activate it unless she throttles someone. And who knows if her best stat is her speed?

If she's Timid, Jolly, or Naive, then she's definitely getting those speed boosts.

If she's Lonely, Adamant, or Naughty, then she'll get a little muscle instead. I sure hope she's not thinking what I think she's thinking if she were naughtyyyyyyy.

That's the nature that I prefer. Though I haven't really used Pheromosa yet. With that piece of shit Pokemon that I can't stand running around on Battle Spot, Pheromosa won't even get the chance to do anything.

And she was bone with glass bones and paper skin. Anything can easily get her down to critical, if not one-shot her.

Well she outspeeds fuckin' Mimikyu, breaks it's Disguise, then it does Play Rough, which could've OHKO'd her if she didn't have a Focus Sash. But it still doesn't matter because Mimikyu Shadow Sneaks on the next turn. Is it any wonder why I hate that Pokemon?

DandyAndy1989 In reply to LightningRod728 [2017-11-14 03:58:15 +0000 UTC]

Well, Play Rough isn't exactly the most accurate of Fairy-type moves, so there is a slim chance that it could miss. And when it does, boy, will it's true face underneath all that sheet look flushed.

Even if it does miss, what difference would it make? Pheromosa's STAB attacks are useless and it has nothing to hit it super effectively.

Even so, Mimikyu's base HP is 4 points lower than Kartana and its physical defense is only above average. If Mimikyu has gotten a Beast Boost with her Attack in, a Poison Jab to the little mutant or a Bounce on it would be plenty to rip its sheet to shreds.

That's very situational and luck based, at best. Pheromosa would have had to take out at least one foe, get a Beast Boost in Attack, and pray that Mimikyu doesn't Shadow Sneak it after the Focus Sash has been consumed. And let's be real, if a Pokemon is down to 1 HP, it's gonna use Shadow Sneak. No if's, and's, but's, or Confuse Ray about it. Isn't that right, Milotic? Pheromosa's best bet is to just U-turn outta there. It breaks the Disguise and gives you a chance to send in a Steel-type check to Mimikyu, who will take the Play Rough instead and not give a shit about it. Mimikyu would feel uneasy about using Swords Dance because it doesn't get the free turn now that U-turn broke Disguise, giving your Steel-type a chance to get rid of it. Meanwhile, you'll still have a healthy Pheromosa on the side lines to bring back out once Mimikyu is taken care of.

And U-turn would be best used for just the disguise since bug type moves are not good against either ghosts or fairies. Just get outta there, girl! And leave it to the iron maiden! Or iron fist! Or iron whatever!

Precisely why I think Assembly's going to be a good answer to Mimikyu. If it's truly the wall that it's built up to be, Mimikyu can only dream about getting over it. Never-Ending Nightmare might do some damage but it's a one-time use move. Unless it gets Fighting, Ground, or Water-type moves via Move Tutor, it's not getting past Assembly.

Well, I still don't know about that big fella. I can probably make use of it using Heavy Slam, but everything else might make it like the UB version of Bastiodon. It's more of a staller than anything.

LightningRod728 In reply to DandyAndy1989 [2017-11-14 05:16:42 +0000 UTC]

If it's incredibly slow, I'd go with Gyro Ball instead. Heavy Slam depends on it's weight and Celesteela's like the best user of that move.

Well, we don't yet know how heavy that thing could be, but GB would definitely make for a good substitute. It's just going to be hard for it to use it right with just five uses.

I use it on Mega Steelix and it works well, especially in Trick Room. Even though the speed is inverted, the damage output from Gyro Ball stays the same. So if Assembly's slow enough to make use of that move while in Trick Room, it's outspeeding everything and gaining Beast Boosts to make Gyro Ball hit harder.

That is, if it raises its Attack power. But I'm gonna guess that one of its defensive stats will have a better chance of getting that boost.
