She had been overwhelmed by the hunger pangs that gripped her after touching the stone. She squeezed her eyes shut as though to escape the pain. Then there was a force, powerful, pushing her out of the stone circle and leaving her flat on her belly.

The nameless Tokota thought she'd heard strange words whispered to her - something of being useful or being eaten but when she opened her eyes and found herself flat in the snow she'd thought her fate decided. With stinging anger and tears in her eyes she sniffed. Even the spirits didn't want her after all. She wanted to curl into herself and hide but a glowing caught her eye. It was... coming from her own leg?

The young Tokota lifted her paw and eyed the strange glowing bracelet that hadn't been there before. At the same time she felt a presence. She wasn't alone anymore.
