Description
Maul was an evil cannibalistic cat from Scarfire's story who was also the leader of a bunch of other cannibalistic cats.

I described him as having mange, but then I didn't know how to draw that as a kid, so I just drew him as a regular black cat. Here I tried to give him a few missing patches of fur, but uhhh most of it was on his back aaaaand then I hid his back in shadow soooooo... Most of the mange is now hidden from view... oops.

For some reason I've never really shown that much love to Maul as a character- I preferred to draw Bone and the rest of the "canine enemies" from Scar's story instead, and because of this I nearly forgot about Maul's existence (which is ironic considering one of his big "villain quotes" is from a monologue where he tells Scarfire that he will be "forgotten", lol). However, you guys probably didn't realize this since I've only ever put art of Maul on here, and no pictures of Bone and his gang... But hey... Just... Trust me... Bone was much more popular inside of my head than Maul ever was.

Also, he used to have cuts on both of his ears, but I decided to leave his ears intact as I feel like he already looks a lot like Scarfire, and he really doesn't need any more similarities to him, lol.
He is compared to Scarfire a lot within his story, and they are supposed to look somewhat similar, but they are not related and have very different personalities.

Recently I redrew Maul as a panther- which you guys probably saw a whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile back.

He was also an arsonist- hence the fire. Scarfire actually got his name because of a fire that Maul caused (no one knew about Maul's existence at the time). He used fire a lot in the story and ended up getting himself killed in a fire that he caused while trying to kill Scarfire.

...And yes, the entire story had a very strong "fire" motif, lol.
