The stallion walked into the tavern. His companion; a blue unicorn mare, warily walked beside him. The two took off their hoods, revealing green markings on their cheeks. They sat at a table and ordered some cider. The mare spoke to her companion in a fierce whisper. "We shouldn't be here. The curse can spread through us if we lose control. Ponies are already staring!"
The stallion looked around him. Like his friend said, they were being observed by nearly everypony in the room. He chuckled. "Don't be surprised Trixie. We have the stripes of a dark curse. Just go with it." The waitress brought their cider, and they drank.
Out of the corner of her eye, Trixie spotted three small cloaked beings. The tallest trotted up to them.
"I've been watching you for some time...."
