Description
Well she certainly didn't arrive in the best of shape. She was a strange looking little creature, but Sylvester had showed her off oh so confidently and oh so excitedly that no one could turn him away, especially not Lyra. She just stared back at the poor little thing, who wouldn't even put her left leg on the ground. She was small, quivering around these people. She was probably mostly unhandled, barely weaned from her mother. She looked sad, and that was what had melted Lyra's heart.Despite how funny looking she was for a horse, her soft eyes (all four of them), bore into her heart and soul and pulled her apart from the inside. "Oh goodness... Sylvester, darling, where on earth did you find her...?"
"Well, at a sale, Lyra." He replied with a serious nod. "She'd have been snatched up by someone bad if I hadn't taken her." A likely story. But he started trying to guide the filly towards the barn anyway. "She's alright, honest! She's going to be okay. I'm going to fix her up, and she's going to do amazing things someday." At least the filly seemed attached to him already.
Lyra just nodded once, crossing her arms and placing her hand over her mouth. Oh she could see the vet bills piling up already. Well it wasn't like Sylvester had left her with much of a choice. She was part of the family now as well. "Put her beside Odyssey! He'll take good care of her." She called. That was it. Her decision was made. This filly was a keeper.
First of 3 recovery images for Liberty , an ADH--Herd . Everyone at EI PA already loves her. She's cheerful and sweet all the while and has been easy to handle. The vet got out and took care of her shoulder. It's a delicate process and she isn't out of the woods yet, but recovery looks good so far.
