Nine years after The Battle of Endor, the New Republic found out about how Mandalore was still in the iron grip of the Empire. They couldn't bear to see that world in the hands of Warlord Zsinj or even Ysanne Isard's underlings for that matter. Fordo was named the Mission Leader for this. Devising a clever stratagem of overwhelming firepower and using an enemy's tricks against them, Fordo Fett, Din Djarin and Sabine Wren led an assault to take back Mandalore. The first step was taking out the Blockade, then head down planet side to take back the palace and maybe find out what happened to Bo-Katan's rebellion against the Empire. But that Blockade looked to be impossible and suicidal. Lucky, every member of Wedge Antilles' Rogue Squadron and the entire Starfighter Corps volunteered without hesitation. Rogue Squadron finally had the mass produced T-70 X-Wings in time for the mission and so did the Tierfon Yellow Aces in securing the newest Y-Wings; more advantages against an aging Empire. Just because they took down Palpatine doesn't mean the Empire was gonna give up, not by a long shot. After so many years of having been on the run from the Empire, it felt good to take the last embers of the war back to the Empire.
