The Third Battle Of Coruscant. This time it was for real, unlike the Clone Wars' Battle of Coruscant. The New Republic had just finished their campaign in the Corporate Sector, Rogue Squadron had just waged the Bacta War against Ysanne Isard, and now... they were on their way to liberate Coruscant. Backed by funding from Omega Flight and using the new Energon compatible engines, Incom was able to mass produce the T-70 X-Wing. Wedge and his squadron stepped into the cockpit of their new T-70 X-Wings and lead the assault. Luke Skywalker rejoined Rogue Squadron to participate once more; it was then Rogue Squadron decided to go by Red Squadron one last time, with Luke bearing his old Red Five callsign once again, and Wedge bearing the Red Leader callsign.

Red Squadron arrived to see the battle was underway, the new Venators were engaging ship to ship combat with the Imperials. Admiral Ackbar and Wedge began the offensive, using the Raddus to break through the blockade, allowing General Han Solo and Fordo Fett to lead the ground assault.
