An Arbitrator of Yggdrasil. VictoryGreymon serves as a safeguard should the God of the Digital World himself becomes corrupt or compromised. It is unknown how he was given that role. Some suggested that it's because VictoryGreymon is not an actual Digimon, but an individual who was born from the beliefs of those who wish to be freed from tyranny. Others stated that his origin is similar to Alphamon of the Royal Knights, that he was born due to artificial data intervention and was later chosen by Yggdrasil to be his arbitrator. There are also a few Digimon who argued that VictoryGreymon had actually existed as the greatest rival of the legendary sword master, Gaioumon. This is due to the fact that the nameless rival whom Gaioumon mentions in his diary shares a lot of similar traits to VictoryGreymon.

Regardless of his enigmatic existence, one absolute trait of his legend is that he always fights for the weak and the oppressed. As such, he will not strike an enemy weaker than him. If he had to fight them, he would always give them a chance to deliver the first strike. He would even go so far as handicapping himself. He might be called an arrogant fool for his nature, but VictoryGreymon believed that those who can endure anything in their paths are the ones who possess true strength. He feels more alive when in pain.

Furthermore, as his legend said nothing about his passing, it is rumored that this dragon warrior is still wandering in the Digital World to this very day and challenged those who dared to oppress the weak.
