Description Guys, I need you!

This amulet needs colors and I want to know what the best are...
I guess that the leaves will be in green, okay, but what about the surrounding? Background? And the border?

Yeah this amulet is something to open a lock e.g.
It can also be USED as a lock for a cape, you know, these locks above the chest of a cape? THIS

Uhm...yeah I'd like to know your ideas^^

I think if you are going to go blood red with the cape, or even a gradient of that and black--silver would be a nice color for it depending on where the lock would be located.
If the person who is wearing the cape is blonde, the blood red would be a good color, it would stand out more. The colors of this lock really depend on how you want it to look, and since you said casual, silver still sounds good. But I would also do as the first comments said, and look for good examples on the internet.
I like the idea of a blood red came with black on it, and a silver lock. You could put black on the inside part aside from the leaves and the border, and then put silver on the leaves and border.
Either way, it will look cool.

Did you make this amulet?

Do you have an idea for the remaining colors for what this is to be used on?

If you're wanting to use it on a cape, what color is the cape or the hero who is going to use it?

Silver would be an excellent color if you're wanting to keep it somewhat neutral. Silver for the border and leaves (since they move seamlessly into one another) with black for the background would look nice, but it'd be tacky if your hero is covered and gold and red (looking like Tha Flash!).

You might give more info on what colors the cape is going to have?

Thanks for replying <3
I think the cape would be black or in a bloody red, you know? It's a very casual cape xD
The hair of the person would be something between brown and blond and he or she would wear something brown under the cape...i don't know if this information is helpful xD
black and silver could be a good idea, I'll think about it
Thanks again for replying!!

I'd say it depends on the color of the cape. Green makes sense for the leaves, but you could also go gold, whatever color complements the cape nicely. I'd search google for examples of color harmonies, like analogous color, split complementary, triad colors. Pick a color harmony you think would work nicely and use those.
