Story:
Bro, I legit can’t think of a story for this one. These characters just have too little to do with each other, and it makes no sense at all why they’d be fighting each other. Let’s just say they’re fighting over who gets to be the final Smash Ultimate DLC character. That should be good enough.
Notes:
I really like the first half of this animation. Fiora stands a bit too still for my liking, but Zelda’s animation looks great. I like the way she pulls the shotgun, readies it, fires it, and puts it away. Plus the way the shackles come out of the gun and latch on to Fiora's limbs looks really cool.
Speaking of the gun, its technically the ornament version of Lord of Wolves, an exotic shotgun that shoots a 5 round burst instead of a pellet spread. As to why I decided to use it here, I needed a gun, and I thought that having a more open barrel would look better for the fairly large projectiles I wanted to use.
The flattening itself is fine, nothing special there, but its fine. As to why I decided to use Fiora, well she was a character I hadn’t flattened before (but I have shrunken her) and I needed to use someone who had exposed legs so I could shackle them. So like Twilight Princess Zelda wouldn’t work. I used Zelda because she was pretty easy to work with.
And that’s really all there is to say about this animation. Its fairly standard, but I think I realized a problem many people have with my work. It focuses too much on the stuff before the flattening. In this animation it takes 11 seconds for the first frames of Fiora to show after she’s flattened. That’s well over half the animation to get to what I imagine most people are here for. But I don’t think I’m going to cut down on it at all. I easily have the most fun doing the action animation before it occurs, so I’m going to keep doing a good amount of it, even if its holding back the quality of my work.
