MAJOR XENOBLADE SPOILERS AHEAD

Fiora sat down on the wall behind her, exhausted from her fight with Egil. Just having been reunited with her, Shulk sat down too, taking his time to examine his sword. Fiora soon fell asleep next to Shulk, and the two rested there for a while.

Shulk wished he could carry Fiora back to safety, but with Fiora’s new mostly-made-of-metal body, she was far too heavy for him to carry for any more than a couple feet. Shulk pulled out his blade and lifted it in front of him. The Monado bends ether to the will of its user. So theoretically, he should be able to make it so he could lift her. He lifted his blade to the sky and felt the rush of Ether flow through him and into his blade before it glowed with a brilliant purple light, and a new rune appeared on the glass in the center of the blade.

Fiora opened her eyes after feeling the warm glow of the Monado. She looked up at Shulk, who was now much larger than she was. She was fairly sure her new mechanical body was the same size of her Homs one, but Shulk had always been a few inches taller than her and now he towered over her. And their difference in size kept increasing. With a start, she looked at her hands and realized that everything else was growing- no, she was shrinking.

Fiora looked back up at Shulk in surprise as she continued to shrink. Eventually she stopped, now being only a fraction of her previous height. She was so small she could easily fit in the palm of Shulk’s hand.

“Fiora!” Shulk called, looking over at her once he put away his sword. “Are you alright? This must have been the power of the Monado.”

“Yes Shulk!” Fiora called from down below him, standing up to try and get closer to him. “I’m fine, but I seem to have, shrunk!”

“Oh good. I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean for this to happen, I was just trying to make it so I would be able to carry you to safety.”

“Well… you still can now. Just hold out your hand, I’ll climb in. Then you can put me on your shoulder or something and I can just ride on you until we find our friends. I wonder how they’ll react to me now.”

Notes:

The animation for the Monado is freaking amazing. I always knew it looked cool, but I absolutely love how the parts on the side shift out of the way for the beam to come up. Its one of my favorite things I’ve animated.

So I haven’t posted anything recently, partially because I started playing Xenoblade 1, which has eaten up a lot of my free time. But now that I did play it I really liked both Seven and Fiora, so I wanted to do an animation with her. I’m sure Fiora will pop up at some point, but I had decided on Seven for this one because I wanted to have it mimic that scene in the story right after you get Seven.

I sort of wanted to have something about how Seven if fine with being small as long as she still gets to be close to Shulk, and bring in how her view about her being dead mean she’s fine with being shrunken, but it makes me really sad to hear about her thinking that way so I just left it out.
