With the Darkness consuming the Ani-Multiverse, Doctor Orpheus sent out Brock Samson on a mission to gather likeminded survivors to find the Darkness's source and kill it to prevent further damage to all realities. With the help of a TARDIS he stole from Gallifrey upon landing there, Brock did just that and assembled an extremely dysfunctional but nonetheless competent team with the mission of hunting down a Phoenix Gate to discover the origins of the Darkness and stop it before it can do any damage. That is if the TARDIS can contain such unrelenting amounts of snark and bickering along the way.
