it's because they are so Hot that it makes you think they are ambiguously evil, and then they grow up to BE ambiguously evil because you expect them to be!

Yep, just like the Targaryens. Their genetic heritage is looking like pinups, and being batshit insane... now the Starks, just sort of pale and hairy, no one expects them to be evil XD
