WHAT…WHAT IS THIS?!?! IS THIS A COMPLETE PIECE?! WHAT IS GOING ON?!
Well…as complete as I can make something in one of my depression days.

Ignoring the fact that Rex is the size of a six year old instead of a ten year old I think I did a good job. I had to wing it cause I couldn’t find a reference even remotely close to what I was trying to draw.

Okay so we never really got a look into what exactly happened during the “event” and of course it gets me coming up with my own ideas. All we know is there was a huge explosion and Rex’s abilities saved both Caesar and himself but then got separated and Caesar goes to escape in his lab without his brother and somehow knows his parents are dead.

So I think that there was a main explosion that killed their parents and almost killed them but somehow Rex created some sort of protection that saved them. Caesar then took his brother and gave him to Rylander to get him away from harm. And Rylander is the one who informs Caesar that his parents are dead. He then goes back to save his lab and that’s when there was a much larger secondary explosion that sent Caesar in the future and spread the nanites everywhere.

And during the secondary explosion somehow Rylander and Rex where separated.
