Well I guess from our prospective, yeah. But in the show many E.V.O.s, even the more humanoid ones were met with a lot of prejudice against them, called dangerous and a disease. They were also met with threats and violence.
Not to mention several people who were turned lose a part of themselves, often not recognizing their friends and family and working on violent instincts. While some retain a sense of self, the majority are often morphed into monsters that lose most if not all connections to their humanity.
I chose the title as such because the rabble crew are treated more poorly, like they're less then what they are but they're still human even if they don't look the part.
