You see, the point is that people who pay so much both can afford that AND want to buy that, nobody forces them to buy these designs so that's their choice and there's nothing we can do about that
And art still is a luxury, nothing changed in that case, just because you don't see it as one doesn't mean it's true...? Even not talking about some deeper artsy meaning, but all the designs and illustrations we see in everyday life cost thousands of dollars to be designed, so the "fandom prices" are really low anyway
I see that maybe you didn't want to be really rude and offend the art itself, but saying that price is too big IS actually an insult to said art/artist, it's like saying "this quality is much worse than the artist thinks, people shouldn't pay that much for that idea because it's not original, you didn't spend enough time working on it" etc etc, this is how it looks like from creator's perspective, so if you only want to show concern about people who paid so much please go to talk to them directly instead of leaving that under the artwork
