Finally, some traditional artwork to be proud of!
I seriously am glad how this came out.
Though the poses and anatomy may not be perfect, but that's OK.
I told myself that there is no such thing as perfect art.
And if there is, there won't be any fun left.
I might even get airy in my head if my art was perfect.
And besides, what's the fun of being able to draw perfectly when you are only 15 and never went to art school yet?
Anyway, I hate drawing chains.
Fucking chains took me one fucking hour.
I know right?
They look simple, and they are, but they take so long.
Ah well, my mom said that they add to this drawing.
One importain notice, though, please read.
These guys, Jake and Darwin, are best friends.
Nothing in this drawing is related to gay people in any possible way.
This is about love in a friendship way.
This is about scars, and how to heal them, or maybe they can't even be healed.
This is about how scars can make somebody look like a monster, so broken, so bad.
Like a mask covering your face, like a black cout covering your body, like scars bursting through your skin.
But you can go ahead and think of it the way you want, because that is what makes this kind of art beautiful, right?
Another thing.
The past of these two is quite interesting and may clear up a few things.
Jake is the one who grew up in a prison - a 'demon' prison to be exact.
Of course he was used to the solitude, deception and torment, but when he grew up he started to wonder what was out there.
He was 15 when everything became too much, and he escaped.
Yes, he had to fight nearly everday and he sometimes got punished for doing so.
So imagine how broken he is once he escaped and didn't know how to make it out there.
Then he met this boy called Darwin, who somehow looked right though him and always found the words to make Jake feel special.
They are what I call best friends, and very unique!

Oh wow! This is indeed one of your better pieces! The chains do indeed add to the picture, and I like how you made the whole contraption look like a wing, very creative! It adds to the symbolism. All the time and work you put in this certainly has payed off.
The poses and anatomy look fine. If you made any errors, they are barely noticeable. But then again, people are normally their own worst critics, but that's a good quality to have.
I feel so sorry for Jake, but at least he has a great friend like Darwin to help him through his troubles! That's what I call friendship.
