Wow. I really love this one. I am interested in your description as well... is it true? I have seen children ghosts and this is a perfect portrayal of what the experience is like. Personally, I don't find this disturbing at all, I find it comforting and honest.

The connection with light and shadow and how you've developed the figures in-between is very striking and moving...and really gives me a sense of silence and a break in time. Like a missed heartbeat.

love the little knuckles on the background child . curling over like kids always do when they keep their fingers so close to their mouths, as the other folds over unto their lap..peaceful. the older and more protective sibling in the foreground almost looks after the other one with a suggestion of a quiet stare at the face..the details are remarkable for a piece intended to be almost billowy and vague.
The colors work well together to bring a touchable atmosphere to it also. What a slendid job you have done with this. proud to fav

Very very cool. heh, your cheating of the shadows is ironic because it resulted in some ambient and chilling shadows in this piece. I love their faceless, answerless expressions...they simply sit there, not haunting you nor watching over you. Interesting. Hooray for seeing something new!!
