Oh, my! 
I LOVE how Zotz-possessed Goth (Gotz? Zoth? Cama Goth?) looks - he looks beautifully devilish with that evil facial expression and the bared teeth, and the long hair flying about above his forehead. I also like his bright-yellow eyes, specifically the way the tiny white pupils twinkle - looks kinda creepy and ominous in this picture.
Seeing Melody the way she is in Zotz's hold is really horrifying, especially when one looks closer at the details with her arm hanging in a dead-looking way!
I also love the dark-red background, and the yellow rim of the eclipse, together with the way Melody and Zotz have the rim on their outlines as well like they're also a solar eclipse - it looks very grim and supernatural. An effect helped by the black bat-shadows in the sky and by the way the red-and-yellow is basically everywhere inside this picture and the sun is black!
The picture also manages to bring back that same 'Supernatural' Apocalypse vibe that the actual scene in the fanfiction did. I looked at this picture and pictured Lucifer and Sam Winchester parodying it (or, when I thought about that, maybe Samifer and Dean Winchester). Sorry if I've talked a bit too much about 'Supernatural', I think a project I'm currently working on has been helping me get in the mood.

Is it weird that i both want this to happen in the story, for the drama, and don't want this to happen, because it looks like she's in pain and he looks way too smug? Either way this one is my official favorite, if only for dramatic affect that it gives off...Did she get hit in the chest or something?

It is in the story. It’s in the part where Barnabe had the dream/vision. The necklace is oozing blood, not her. It’d make sense if you read it he chapter. ^_^

Okay, that is ALOT different from the previous sketched version. With the other, one could make some jokes about "other reasons" regarding Melody's exhausted expression and Goth's way too happy look. But this here is truely dark. A fiting pice for a vision, that implies the end of the world as we know it.
And i do must say.. it is EPIC

You did more then just color it. It was easy to asume, that "Goth's" eyes where simply closed in the sketch. Also there are more details here, like Melody's tears.
Sure it is "essencialy" the same picture, but both could have a very different context
