For a bat you certainly look very pretty and I will give you that. Not to mention your art clearly shows how talented you are. Not to mention how you do your writing as well.

Your very welcome. I will give the new one a look to. I have always liked bat pictures.

I was about to ask if your Bat-Sona is a Brightwing. Then I thought "Of coarse it is. But I'll check the comments to reassure myself." It has been confirmed. Always good to read them comments so a question is not repeated.
Anyways. People have been making Bat Personas in the group (I'm taking lots of precious time into my own thanks to my 'weekly submissions schedule'). And listing the names of other bat-sonas in their descriptions. It was all DangerHillTerrors idea. It's very nice of them to consider the others. You should do the same.

Haha, she's actually the first one who did this then I wanted to make it a thing so I did. I owe her some credit except she's not on very often.

I was fortunate enough to get a reply on "excuse me while I hyperventilate.". Especially this year. I think she's the lucky one this year since she found an actual Silverwing Season Set. If only we had been so lucky.
...
Do you have one? Just checking to make sure that 'we' is the correct word.

No I don't, I wish I did. Even though I hate DVDs. I believe there was a VHS season set too but lord knows where that is now. Its just as rare.

It's been a long time since I've seen a VHS tape besides that Star Trek one that's just been sticking out of the VHS player for over five years (It's creepy how lonely it looks too. You'd understand.)

I did get a few rumours on Youtube that Silverwing was on Blu-Ray. I'd flip and cheer my head all over the store if I ever do find one of those.

I actually own a VCR and use it where as my DVD player is the one that's decrepit XD. I don't like discs at all really, they freeze and get pixelated the more you watch them and you have to sit through 10 minutes of trailers too before it starts and you can't skip them DX. VHS however you can skip all that sh*t and get right to the movie.

I don't like blu-ray either. Its ridiculously pricey too. If I find a Silverwing VHS copy I'll geek out.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Aslimb In reply to DangerHillTerror [2015-09-15 21:05:43 +0000 UTC]

I never said I didn't like Blu-Ray. The pause has a menu which is a nifty feature. But I buy a DVD over that because of price.
My laptop has a good DVD player though. Doesn't pixelate at all. Can skip every trailer. I can actually leave it paused for ever while I do other things.
I learned a long time ago that VCRs will resume play if it's been paused for five minutes. And we haven't used it in years.
I'm good with retro stuff though. I even remember fiddling with the dial on a VHS and you can play a video backwards. no audio which is sad. I'd wanted to see if what they put on the first Spy Kids movie was legit. I liked the second movie too. The third one was okay. But the fourth one is terrible and ridiculous. Not funny at all.

DangerHillTerror In reply to Aslimb [2015-09-15 22:12:11 +0000 UTC]

All VCR's do that, that's why you eject the tape instead, it doesn't use as much energy either. And I feel weird with you calling VHS retro since I grew up with that and they were a big deal when I was a kid.

Aslimb In reply to DangerHillTerror [2015-09-16 21:05:16 +0000 UTC]

VHS was actually a big thing in my childhood too. When I learned that DVDs were more popular I wondered why. Then after seeing the advances I realized why because they could be paused for long periods of time and have bonus features like art galleries and extra footage. The early Harry Potter movies came in 2 discs which carried extra features like interactive games such as the catch Scabbers challenge (sadly they don't do that any more). VHSs only carried bonus scenes after the feature. Now they have Blu-rays which are higher scratch protected. A PS2 can play DVDs on it and it's considered retro by many people. VHS tapes came before the PlayStation era so they're a pretty old thing.

DangerHillTerror In reply to Aslimb [2015-09-16 21:13:52 +0000 UTC]

VHS lost to DVD in about 2006 I'd say. The newest VHS in my collection was distributed in 2007. If you think VHS is primitive you should see a BETA tape. I also remember Floppy Disks or Diskettes back whenΒ I was little as well, its what you used before USBs came along.

Aslimb In reply to DangerHillTerror [2015-09-16 21:24:08 +0000 UTC]

I've never actually heard of a BETA tape. But I did have game CDs in my very early childhood. Games like Freddy Fish, Pyjama Sam, some Winnie the Pooh, and Dr. Seuss Kindergarten. Probably the most adult CD game I played in my childhood was something from the Clue Finders series. The one with the living island. Do any of these ring a bell? Were game CDs a big thing in your childhood?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DangerHillTerror In reply to Aslimb [2015-09-16 21:31:48 +0000 UTC]

BETA was in the 80's till about 1986 when VHS took off and was popular.
I remember Freddy Fish alright, man that game was so stupid XD we had this one for awhile www.play-old-pc-games.com/wp-c… .
That was a bit later on I played that, I always have been more of a movie person rather then games. Nintendo 64 was big when I was growing up and so was PS2.

Aslimb In reply to DangerHillTerror [2015-09-16 21:48:53 +0000 UTC]

I apologize for the bad flashbacks. So those were for PC?
After those went out of commission after the old computer was gone my brother and I bought a gameboy advance sp which is currently missing. And then we bought a PS2 at a flea market (gladly they don't live up to their names) in our early teens where we also bought The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon (my choice) and TimeSplitters 2 (My brothers choice). They were both enjoyable but I played the crap out of Dawn of the Dragon. I knew every nook and cranny in the game after beating it 100% over ten times. Then there was the Xbox which is now gathering dust downstairs. Now we have a PS3 which had all of its payed for content deleted. I'm going to miss playing The Last of Us.

DangerHillTerror In reply to Aslimb [2015-09-16 22:03:45 +0000 UTC]

BETA wasn't for PC. They were for watching movies.
Too bad about the PS3. It goes to show physical copies are better some times.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Aslimb In reply to DangerHillTerror [2015-09-16 22:29:04 +0000 UTC]

I agree. They don't get deleted and can be sold separately. Because whoever sold Liam (my brother) the PS3 had a lot of payed for DLCs and a digital copy of The Last of Us on it, several games you would have to pay at least 70 dollars to get in stores. And a controller. He bought all that for only $100. That's dirt cheap for stuff like that. And all our progress, trophies, etc. and The Last of Us went down the toilet (figuratively speaking). At least we still have some good games in the physical collection. I just wish I had someone to play Resident Evil 5 with. I found out that it sucks in single player but it rocks in Coop from what I saw in Stephen and Mals Let'sPlay of it. No wonder some people don't like it.
Here's a few memorable moment clips where they made fun of the cutscenes.

I seem to have trouble finding a reply for this but I can see what you mean. My older sister uses Firefox when using my computer so that I don't have to log back into mine every single time. I'm glad for that separate thing.

At our town's second hand store. They were both dirt cheap.

Just like the PS3 and all of its content where my brother got it on Kijiji.
That's the first thing that pops into my head when 'dirt cheap' is mentioned.

DangerHillTerror In reply to Aslimb [2015-09-17 00:11:29 +0000 UTC]

Apparently not when compared to the store you've been to. My father mentioned that he used to get a bag of chips for 5Β’ or something like that in his time whereas in this time they cost almost 4 dollars for the same size of bag.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DangerHillTerror In reply to Aslimb [2015-09-17 00:52:02 +0000 UTC]

That is f*cking stupid. Why are chips so expensive now??

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Aslimb In reply to DangerHillTerror [2015-09-17 01:00:30 +0000 UTC]

Marketing tricks. Plus money is more abundant today. In Dollarama you can get a bag of Doritos for $2 (It's more expensive for tiny bags in other stores believe me) whereas you can buy a heavy more compact bag of Macaroni noodles or a country style mug for $1.25. So basically I don't know why else chips are so bloody expensive.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DangerHillTerror In reply to Aslimb [2015-09-17 01:04:16 +0000 UTC]

I don't know why either. Maybe its some kind of chemical sh*t they put in it now that's pricy? idk
