This poor picture was in the back of my sketch book as nothing but a pure doodle. I had forgotten about it for so long, so I decided to finish it and post it up!What's going on in this picture?
Ahmea is doing a reltuic Foldance called The Quasai' Daimo. It's a dance that tells the story of how the universe came to be. The dance is slow and fluid, and the music is usually light and melodic. The dancer is painted to look like the stars themselves have laced theirselves into the dancer's skin, and long, blue-ish and purple costumes are worn. The fabric is usually see-through, and is made to billow. And, as for all Reltuic dances, a story (that skirt thing she's wearing) is worn.
I hope you all like it. I put alot of my heart into this one!

i love how soft this picture is. i know thats a really strange thing to say, but its late and my brain lacks the capasity to think of a better way to describe things (or spell apparantly) but yes, just in the delecacy (im sorry, i really am for the spelling) of your shading. i love how the fabric LOOKS like fabric and creases like it should, it really adds brilliant movment.
is this done in a coloured pencil or have you tinted it?

I tinted it because my scanner completely butchers my normal black and white shading.

yes i always love it when someone makes a change like tinting it adds a really different feeling, for example the sort of teal colouring adds to the magic in this. yes i AM fully awear of how corny that sounds but hey, i love corn.

Lovely detailing on this- the tiny rope from her costume, the tattoos, the swirling cloth. For ages, I didn't notice she had a tail though!

awesome! The only thing that catches my attention is the eyes. They are up alittle too high. The right arm (the one down) is too short and doesn't look like it's bent at all.
