I love the profile...Cute but also stern. And all the thick black lines with the sepia color makes it look like pottery! :0 I love the stylized owl! So cute and huggable but somehow also mysterious...Wonderful patterns (like the historiae picture, this is such a cool mix of modern and classic style!) Amazing armor (again! XD) and I love how your attention is immediately drawn to her eye.

Delle tue Saori l'aspetto che mi piace di più è come riesci a dare loro sia lo spirito della dea che quello della ragazza... Anche qui, nel suo profilo altero e nel suo sguardo deciso, reso guerresco dalla presenza dell'elmo, si vede comunque la sua natura di ragazza ancora giovane nonostante l'universo di responsabilità sulle spalle. Una dualità in qualche modo richiamata dal fatto che l'occhio è bianco, come se il suo spirito staccasse in qualche modo dalla sua rappresentazione divina.
Il concept è geniale poi, mi piace tantissimo l'idea di richiamare l'arte vascolare greca e la sua semplicità elegante delle linee decorative. Non si poteva ritrarre meglio Atena/Saori, è bellissima! ç/////ç

Mi rende così felice ciò che dici, perché è esattamente l'aspetto che più colpisce anche me del suo personaggio, e sostanzialmente quello che mi ha fatto affezionare indissolubilmente alla sua figura (che trovo ingiustamente odiata e insultata fin troppo dalle masse di fan ._.)! Ti ringrazio davvero di cuore per vedere tutta questa profondità nel mio lavoro, che a me pareva tutto sommato piuttosto piatto... e come al solito ben distante da ciò che avrei voluto restituire!
E' ispirato a un vaso ellenico che avevo visto al museo di arte antica di Amsterdam con mio padre, e avevo proprio distintamente pensato che era un concept potenzialmente molto "Athenoso"!

Eh, è facile prendersela con Saori un po' per via della sistematicità con cui si ritrova a dover essere salvata da tutte quelle situazioni a "conto alla rovescia"... Se uno non ha troppa voglia di stare a pensarci, finisce per considerarla quella che non fa mai niente, si caccia nei guai e deve essere salvata (senza contare la gelosia del popolo femminile del fandom...)
Secondo me tu la ritrai sempre così bene, con la devozione di un vero saint, riesci ad esprimere le sue due nature con molto affetto. Il riferimento originale non poteva trovare una rielaborazione migliore! Mi piacciono davvero tanto le tue Saori!

So I watched the first two episodes of the anime. It's a fun, very 80es anime, but the first story arc with the tournament doesn't really appeal to me. A bit too much fighting for my taste... But I really love Shaina the moment she loses her mask in the first episode [I first also heard her attack's name as "Santa Clause"]

Of course is a very 80es anime, as you said, but it's really important for japanese animation history! The first part of the anime is a bit boring, I know, and there are a lot of filler episodes too. But then it becomes more attractive, and the characters become more interesting...

Saint Seiya succeed a lot (and keeps up doing it, because has always something new to say!) both for the plot and because it was an extremely well-drawn anime, and the technique was really beautiful! Shingo Araki-sensei's design was (and is) considered amazing...
