Wooow! It's so flowy and character driven and expressive! And it's purple! It's fabulous, well done. That's a "whatcha doin' " face if I ever saw one. His face is so panicked! Maybe this is Fujimoto's early experiments with super elixer, and he was waiting to surprise his wife with it once he perfected it, but she's a little early.

This is literally my favorite sketch I've seen of them OF ALL TIME - You captured their personalities PERFECTLY. Β Fujimoto would totally get all flustered and Gran would totally enjoy every minute of itΒ

These two are soooo mind-meltingly adorable together...!!! *0* And what a sweet pic. She's all calm and lighthearted and playful, and he's all startled and frazzled as usual, haha...poor guy's always overworked. They provide a good balance for one another.

Yes, he's got such a deep voice - probably because he should give the impression of a powerful, ageless magician... I kinda like it, anyway (in italian version too he's got quite a similar voice)!

i never thought about it that way. actually from the way he was portrayed in reviews i got the impression he was more a sillier-type character, since he's trying so hard to get ponyo back where she belongs.
