It was just a cute shot of Squidward despairing of Spongebob because he wouldn't stop crying in A Day Without Tears. Spongebob dropped a Krabby Patty on the floor and cried over it, but when Squidward had a go at him he just cried even more, so Squidward was like *leans head on hand just watching him puppyishly/despairingly*

I know, you can see them getting closer over time. I think Spongebob is Squidwards key to the way up, then at the last minute he gives up his talent to go have a family. I think Squilliam is a reflection of future Squidward, and he's letting him get on with things as Stanley (who interestingly enough looks like Squilliam slightly) may have been the way forward for Squilliam, like Spongebob is for Squidward.
For somebody so powerful, he's done an awful lot of things that seem to be down to earth to get where he is today. Interesting...

I LOVE THAT PART TOO HE WAS ALL NICE TO SPONGEBOB AND INSTEAD OF HIM NOT LIKE SPONGEBOB TO TOUCH HIM, SQUIDDY TOUCHES HIM AND SO NICE, BUT THEN, HE WAS POGODANCING WITH PAT AND THEN SPONGEBOB GOT MAD AND THEN SQUIDDY GOT SAD AND GOT ELECTRICUTED AND GOT MEAN AGAIN AND SPONGEBOB AND PAT TOO AND GOT MEAN.
