Well, Lion King 2 WAS based off of Romeo and Juliet.xD So, the falling in love thing so fast was from that I think. But yeah, I don't really like the couple either. I like Kiara, but she's much too ditzy for Kovu. My favorite pairings from TLK are fan pairings that aren't in the movie.XD

The whole point of Romeo and Juliet was that, even though they loved each other unquestionably, life would not allow them to be together - but death would. Romeo and Juliet was not only art but a TRAGEDY. There was nothing tragic about TLK2; just useless, predictable and tacky teenage romance.

TLK was based off of Macbeth and, even if it didn't follow every word, it covered the main plot which was death and betray.

As for Kiara - I hate her. At the beginning she is portrayed as curious (like Nala and Simba before her, right?). But they hadn't been aware of the threat of hyenas at the time when they had ventured to the Elephant Graveyard. Whereas Kiara had just been given a talk about how vicious the outsiders were and how you 'can't turn your back on them.' Ergo, she's just plain stupid.

She was led into crocodile-infested waters by Kovu and yet she befriends him!? And even flirts him, which is gross - and gushes over how brave he was. Brave? Yeah, sure, I can buy that. But, if I had been led into crocodile-infested waters I wouldn't be all smiles and giggles. In fact, I don't think anyone with a brain would act as Kiara did.

Later on in the movie her dad came back, from a walk with the outlander on probation, beaten and he collapsed in pain. He claimed that Kovu was the one who hurt him, and all Kiara did was whine, deny it and then hold a grudge against the poor guy when he - quite rightfully - banished Kovu. And then she runs off in search of the lion who (for all she knew) attempted to kill her father. Smart, real smart.

Throughout the movie, she only really thinks with her sex-drive. It's as simple as that.

Actually, the first movie was based off of Hamlet, not Macbeth.>.> A lot of people think it's Macbeth, but I've always heard it was Hamlet. (Plus the fact that I just read Hamlet and a lot of it screamed Lion King.)

But I agree that Kiara is an idiot. I still like the second movie, but I agree that Kiara was an idiot who fell for Kovu because of a sex-drive. I was just pointing out that it was based off Romeo and Juliet.

But I'm glad you agree with me even if you do like Kiara. Most Kiara fans explode and freak out and say thing like; 'U SUX! KAIRA ADN KOFU ARE MEANED TO BE TO GETHER SU U DUN KNOW NOTHIGN! GET A LIFE U STUEPID, IDIOT FAGGY TROLL!' - So, as you can see, die-hard TLK2 fans are also sworn-in Twilight supporters, ^^

My favourite couple in reality is SimbaxNala. I did this just for joke, there's a friend of mine that stragely like this two together, so, I drew this for him.
But, really, now that I relook this drawing, I made a really weird face O_o

And yes, Kovu isn't Scar biological son, his natural parents are unknown.

At times i feel kind of sorry Timon and Pumbaa dont have anybody to call their girlfriends... hmm, it'd be really funny to see them fight over a girl

showing Mufass Scar in thier childhood; Mufassa being trained as a prince(all the things he and Simba were gonna do but he died before they could) Scar's growing jelousy of his brother's glory, how Scar became alied with the hyenas, how Mufassa befriended Zazu, and Rafiki as a younger monkey, how did He get so wise...
i think there Must've been some story about them worth telling, but since "everything has to be "Funny" i animation these days, an animated drama (which the Lion King was) is impossible. sigh -__-

As much as i agree, i think the current scene served it's perpose well enough. The whole pedophilic rape thing sounds a little mentally Scar-ring(ha, pun ) for the smaller audience more likely to watch anyway. You'd definately hate Scar Allot allot more than you already did (especially if Youve been molested before).
Because actually in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Lord Frollo was supposed to do Much more to Esmarelda than sniff her hair and then attemp to ask her out before he burned her at the stake.
The Lion King has it's dark moments that'd make it fit, but it already has "enough" of them in my opinion.
The Broadway musical on the other hand, fit this dramatic scene in perfectly i find. In a way i think the opera was a place where all the things too edgy for the animated movie would fit in well and still be enjoyed by the mature audience.
And besides, if he pulled that stunt off, Kiara might not've been born, and more importantly Zira wouldnt have her place in TLK2 now would she?

I'd like to see Scar go crazy; much like Azula did. In the end Scar is revealed to be the bitter, jealous viper that he is. Not a coward, necessarily. But a low-life of the foulest sorts.
