Description
A digital draw over of the padded dummy to check that the padding shapes are good and to lay out a basic plan for the proportions of the the rest.Operation strip-a-stilt was a success as time on the pavement in the hot sun on a 106 day was enough to soften the glue so I could strip "FlutterFAIL's" arm stilts to re-purpose them for this which OMFG SAVED ME SO MUCH WOOOOORK!
I have never done quad wings or a quad with a dragon tail so nrrrrrrrg
*goes to study dino and lizard buts because should tail take up entire butt area or do I need actual haunches.

Would suggest dino and emu butts rather than dino and lizard, depending what kind of dino you are basing it on. Emus, ostriches, etc have about the body structure a lot of those dinos would have, just without the long tails. I don't think they really have a haunch to speak of.

What did you use to make the flutterfail stilts in the original design?

Looks like fun.Β Thank you for sharing this in-progress pic, as it helps me mentally put human shapes in your existing quad-suits.
As for dino and lizard buts, I can recommend himmapaan here on DA, specifically the gallery linked, but most of his work is good for reference, as he uses nice contour defining lines.

I'm actually curious how comfortable it is to be inside a quadsuit...I can only assume a few breaks to stretch out the back are needed xD

Quadsuits are very uncomfortable if you aren't physically fit, besides the fact that the heat that they can reach inside(because its a full body workout basically) can be really tough to deal with. They are very tough on the neck and back but also extremely physically tough on the arms/shoulder and legs. If you aren't fit and plan on doing a lot of walking around your body will start to shake/be very sore in a relatively short period of time and the next day can be a killer. (from experience the first time I wore one haha I wasn't prepared)Β
They look amazing but they are very difficult to wear for the person inside them XD

I am soooo excited to seeΒ how this quad turns out <3
it is going to be SO majestic
Good thinking on leaving the stilts out in the sun to melt the glue xD I might do that with my old quadsuit stilts when I get a chance to rebuild my quad. Out of curiosity did the sun get your flutterfail stiltsΒ hot enough toΒ melt/damage the faux fur fibers at all? Or just the glue?
