Description
a 3/4 suit (a tail, head and paws are a halfsuit so adding half a body makes it a 3/4 suit)it is a river otter but could easily pass as a sea otter.
i very very much want to take this to the monterey bay aquarium for pics (3 hour driave from here) in front of the otter and kelp forest exhibits but i don't know if they would let me.....

This is a really beautiful suit <3
It's a shame about the aquarium not letting you in, I'm sure it wouldn't have affected their image that much, but rules are rules I guess. I recently went to the Sealife Aquarium at loch lomond, yesturday infact. It was amazing and the otters were interesting. They had an otter mascot rolling around the Café and such and I heard they encourage all suiters to stroll in and take pictures. So maybe if you're ever in Scotland you could hit up the Sea life centre in Balloch. c:

This is so cool, are you wearing it?
And is this a personal suit?
I think the coolest thing is that the front paws are webbed!, how smart is that?

the veridict is no, i cannot be let in the aquarium.
they guy said he would like to let me in and knows costumes are a great way to reach kids but it is something no one can say yes to because it effects the aquariums image, the aquarium is a place of science not a theme park and they have a few of thier own costumed kritters which are not used often and used strictly on the dock outside the aquiarium and they are never used inside. and i guess i understand as i can just see some nagging parent go "i brought my kids here to be educated not to follow some mascot around all day if i wanted that i would have taken them to diney land" and i cannot even be let in after hours because said photos would still be a associated with the aquarium and even then they frown upon people taking pictures at all.
it sucks but i understand their reasoning
but it does sound like they may hire me to replace some of their costumes for some outreach program that does stuff at schools

WOW! I'd email them pics and ask them. Maybe they will let you in early for some quick pics. I know when I brought Pleo, my robotic dinosaur to Sea World, they were very nice and let me use it at the dolphin tank. The educators even asked the crowd to back up. They now all know me and when I go there, I get special treatment sometimes

Well, least some good came out of checking it out, right?
I know the Orlando Science Center wants me back when I have the saber tooth cat and raptor costumes. The head of the paleontology department went freaking nuts over the unicorn. And saber tooths are his favorite and he's dug up many fossils of them. So he is giddy to see it. I was hoping I could send you the money to have it time for Halloween (a big event there), but obviously, a no go. It will have to be after Christmas. I want to pay for the saber tooth immediatly and start paying for the raptor.
