So I wanted to draw something Okami related, and decided to draw Waka yet again. I had a particular scene in mind while drawing this, which was when Waka's hat is thrown off his head and his lovely golden locks are revealed XD So yes, the background is supposed to be the ark of yamato. If you haven't noticed already, I love dark dark lighting and glowy atmospheres in my drawings, so I really wanted to incorporate that into this.I'm gonna try to draw Oki next, because I haven't drawn him in years, and I never finished any of them because they weren't that good. Since I've improved alot, I shall work on getting an Oki picture finished!

Beautiful! I love how Waka looks in this, with the blue glow in his eyes. I can hear 'Resolve' playing in my head just looking at this picture.
I can only imagine what it's like to be him, having unknowingly brought the first evil to this world, and trying everything he can to right his wrong. Searching for centuries, just for a path back home...

Wow, the way you just described that is really depressing! Makes me sympathize with him even more. I think he's a great character, so when people say they don't like him, it makes me sad. He obviously felt awful for what he did, and I just wanna hug him, poor guy! ;_;
