Now before the whole Amy Rose fan base bite my head of with so much love and hate haha....I'm not that all crazy about Sonic Boom or for Amy in that matter, I'm not a fan of her BUT I do like the UK version of Amy...I mean talk about a MAJOR personality change XD. She not your typical loving chasing Sonic fan girl...in fact she doesn't even like Sonic XD. In the beginning when they first showed her in the comics back in the day she did then more later on she just stop giving a damn. She has more of a tomboyish punk rock field to her. Now with the Sonic Boom Amy I'm overwhelmed by the changes they gave to all...now I may have read this wrong but they said she's the "glamorous fighter with the brains?"....really...seriously....*sigh*.... I don't know I'll see how this will play through. Now I'm proud to be an American but I hope they don't fuck this up...anyway I still prefer the UK's Fleetway version of Amy any day...and yes that's a gun I don't know how to draw guns and yea Sonic the Comic Amy has a gun, not your cup of tea TOO BAD.STC Amy Rose (C) By: Fleetway/ Sega

Note that the version with a gun was from the fanmade online continuation (Sonic the Comic- Online!), not from the original magazine comic, where what she had was a crossbow. But the writers of the original say it's canon with the magazine, so....that's that.

Yeah i may be very noobish to the Fleetway comics, but the stuff i saw with amy was pretty awesome. Eveyr other amy is either just "okay," Annoying, or inSB's case "the girl"

The problem with Boom's Amy isn't her character... it's that she isn't one. Literally every time she appears she is given some new personality. In one episode, she's a ninja. In another, she's a stereotypical valley girl.

Yeah and she didn't have much of a personality in the games wither in fact NONE of the characters in the Boom universe have characters they're all cliches not even in the conventional Sonic sense just cliches of cliches.Β

What are you talking about? Game!Amy has a personality. She's upbeat, energetic, kind and has a short temper. She maybe madly in love sonic but she cares for her friends and other people too. Even cute small animals. Boom!Amy on the other hand doesn't have a personality. I think they're trying too hard to make her look like a role model.

They turned her into a joke in the main series games and only slowly VERY slowly began changing it.

I use to read the Fleetwar comics years ago, and they were okay and I enjoyed them. But nowadays I think Archie's comic is much better. I remember STC amy having a crossbow gun, but not an actual pistol, though I haven't read every issue.

Never reading the comics version but i take your words to it. Amy use to be one of my favourites Sonic characters but the Sega's version...? Not so much! She's anytime here for chase Sonic for love and bla bla bla...Β And she lacking personality where it's obvious the UK comic you talk out improving that. But yeah, haven't heard of Sonic in years and not totally impressed by Sonic Boom who look make extreme hipster the norm of Western cartoon.

i kind amy having a hammer, i think it fits.
Though i thinkt he only problem i possibly see with amy is either they A. make her too generic in trying to make up for the years of a BATSHIT INSANE FANGIRL we had to deal with.
or B. the fact she's still going to have that new voice actress from the main games.. who sadly is giving her that same voice she does in them.
i mean, i like sTC amy alot, i thought it was a nice change, so they should atleast do something "sort of" like that, and not just turn her into a samus Aran/black widow/insert female protagonist who is agile and fights here that we've seen already.
and i feel amy should have a normal freaking voice, that wouldn't sound forced. Those are my only worries for SB amy in all honesty

I do like the outfit of the STC Amy Rose here. Crop top and cargo pants, I like that, plus, the way her personality is according to your description, I haven't read the comics but from what I can interpret from the descripton, I like it.

I've been waiting for Amy to mature in an official game/show for a long time now.Β I look forward to seeing how she acts in Sonic Boom.Β If she's gonna be part of the team, she'd better pull her own weight when it comes to fighting.
