Tano es una hiena muy inteligente. Puede llegar a ser manipulador y traicionero si lo considera necesario, aunque prefiere buscar otros medios (que no impliquen meterse con Janja ). Es la voz de la razón de su hermano Nne, y es amigo cercano de Saba . Él y Nne son buenos estrategas al momento de cazar o pelear en grupo. No es buen luchador cuerpo a cuerpo, pero sabe valerse por si mismo haciendo uso de algunos trucos.

Tiene una nariz redonda y ancha. Tiene manchas oscuras en la parte superior e inferior de su hocico. Su cresta es oscura y crece hacia atrás, a partir de la nuca. Carece de cresta sobre la frente y la cabeza, pero tiene tres mechones delgados que crecen en la parte más alta de su cráneo. Los dos colmillos superiores asoman por encima de su labio cuando cierra la boca. No tiene cortes en las orejas.

Tano is a very intelligent hyena. He can be manipulative and treacherous if he deems it necessary, although he prefers to seek other options (something that do not involve messing with Janja ). He is the voice of reason for his brother Nne , and is a close friend of Saba . He and Nne are good strategists for hunting or fighting in a group. He is not a good melee fighter, but he knows how to fend for himself by using some tricks.

He has a round and broad nose. He has dark spots on the top and bottom of his snout. His crest is dark and grows backwards, starting from the nape of the neck. He lacks a crest on his forehead and head, but has three thin tufts growing from the highest part of his skull. The two upper fangs protrude above his lip when he closes his mouth. He has no cuts on his ears.
