Trayvon was shot because he attacked Mr. Zimmerman,he was nothing more than a Street Thug.

George is a HERO!

We will have to agree to disagree. Personally, when somebody calls the police, and the police tells them not to go after somebody and they go and do it anyway, that is ASKING for something. Even if he was a problem. And if Trayvon did at some point attack him, that doesn't neccesarily make him a thug. He could have been defending HIMself. It also definately wasn't as bad as Zimmerman said. There was no trace of a wound on the back of his head on any of the pictures released on the day of his arrest. Also, neighborhood watch aren't supposed to have fire-arms with them. Their job is actually to call police if they see something.

Anyway. Zimmerman, if you ask me, was a misguided/mistaken guy with a hero complex who should not have had a gun with him in the first place. That's it. I've said my peice. You can think what you want.

The 911 dispatcher was NOT a cop.

If you'd bothered to READ the 911 Transcripts, you'd KNOW that Mr. Zimmerman DID STOP following Trayvon and was heading back to his vehicle when the VICIOUS STREET THUG attacked him.

Trayvon had clearly gotten away but doubled back and attacked Mr. Zimmerman.

The News Media has APOLOGIZED for editing the photos to make it seem Mr. Zimmerman wasn't injured and for LYING about him making Racial Slurs as well.

Please STOP drinking the Kool-Aid and actually think for yourself.

Vanellope, I have 3 responses to your questions:

1. People are really stupid and don't really care what you look like.

2. I really don't know what happen, but appearntly the judge must've not cared if he allowed him to get off scott free.

3. I don't think so since you're a video game character, but if you do feel scared, i'm pretty sure that Ralph, Felix, and Calhoun will do everything in their power to protect you. AND SO WILL I!!!

[Some people just love encouraging unnecessary fear.  Good job here, though.]

Well, actually, as a kid, I'd imagine that's the way Vanellope'd see it. A kid with a hoodie was shot, so she might be. Kids do tend to think that if something like this happens to one kid, it could easily happen to them, whether they're black, white, male or female.

[Yeah, I guess they would.  I just mean that it was very wrong of the guy who shot the kid to do what he did.]

What about race bating and some of the riots that happened about the verdict?

I actually did a later one to this, but thank you, scanner for messin' it up. It wasn't really about a riot, per say, but it was about the anguish of this case. As for race, that definitely is a part of this case. Not sayin' it wasn't. But A: to me, the biggest thing here is that a man shot a boy and got away with it because of this stupid law. And actually, one of Vanellope's questions is why would the man do this, and  the reason why he was targeted was Zimmerman decided that because he was black, male, and a teenager, he was trouble. But, to the arcade characters, race is less of an issue. Since they never had slavery, and how diverse the Game World is: with animals and humans of many colors, race is just part of your physical code, maybe your voice actor, and possibly culture. Unless they were programed to be racist, their really is no reason for them to be. To them, Trayvon Martin was much like one of the older players that come to the arcade every day. Also, the reason why I did this pic was about some of the questions kids would have about this case.

You know, there was no evidence of any racism during the trial.   To me,  putting race as part of the trial was a ploy by The New Black Panthers and Al Sharpton, as well as the "Kill Whitey" crowd, to make blacks superior and shame whites.  Not to mention, the media turned it into a media circus on both sides, with one part of the media portraying Trayvon as an innocent boy, while the other side portrays him as a pot smoking wannabe thug.

As for the riot thing, I was referring to those protests that ended up in vandalism, property destruction, and so on. Not to mention, white people getting beaten by blacks in Trayvon's name.  What does little Vanellope think of the riots and beatings?

This wasn't really ment to be an encapulization of the whole case, just one aspect. And as for the profiling thing, he did profile him as trouble, whether race had anything to do with it or not. And, unfortunately, our society does sometimes kinda think that teenagers, especially boys, tend to be trouble. Even more so when they're Black. Zimmerman did have a pre-concieved notion, and decided he wasn't going to let him get away. He didn't go after him to kill him, no. But he did go after the kid when he should have just stayed in the car and called the police, like a neighborhood watchman is supposed to. At least, instead of being antagonistic when going after him, he should have identified himself and asked if he could help. That would have stopped it right there. Now, about the trial, they had some restrictions about what couldn't be talked about, and the other side tried to make Trayvon into a thug. Also, FL has a dumb law where all that matters is you think in that moment you were in danger no matter if you're the aggressor or not. It's badly written and gives no incentive to try to de-escalate conflicts. Now, for the riots, death threats, and beatings: None of them should happen. I do not agree with the verdict and do not mind the peaceful protests, but we do live in a nation of laws and courts, and we need to respect the court's decision and let the families of those involved take it further if they want/need to.

That is what I think of the whole thing, and if you disagree with me, that's ok. This was inspired from watching CNN with them talking about talking about the case with kids, and so I did one with how I'd think Vanellope'd react to it, being a kid who has been profiled herself (when she was just a glitch during Turbo's reign.) and who is always wearing a hoodie. Now, like I said: I did do 2 others about this case: one that was another hoodie-themed one similar to the peaceful "Are we Suspicious" protests and my own earlier drawing with Edith from Despicable Me, and another one that talks about the emotions behind the riots and why those riots are not good things to do. You can blame my scanner for messing it up, and I will try to put it up later. I do not believe that we ought to be sending Zimmerman death threats or beating anyone up or vandalizing anything. What we should do is have civil discussions among ourselves, see what we should do as a society to help make sure this does not happen again, and take look at that stupid law, and re-write it so we can defend ourselves if we have to, but we do have incentive to de-escalate the conflict if we can.
