Basically, PMD-E's story is tailored according to the guild who accumulates the most points in judging (hence why Sorbet was awakened instead of the other dragons 'cause the Merchants had the most points).
PK said (on her tumblr) in order for PK and Shroomy to get back together, the right guild has to win. They didn't win apparently so PK and Shroomy's relationship is screwed!

Me too. I can't wait to see what happens after they get back (I don't believe that they'll stay in the past) Shroomy looked really devastated when he saw the letter. I really hope they make up soon and kick that Persian to the curb. That cat does not deserve PK.
