Description
I took my mom to see Frozen and, naturally, fell in love with Kristoff. It was shockingly cold here in Hawaii when I drew this. Need a big warm heart.

I warmed up to Olaf. So to speak. I thought he was a dip at first, but I really thought he was going to "die" for Anna there. Big heart in that little snowman.

I did too! I thought I wouldn't like Olaf at all (I had only seen the teasers for the movie) but he won me over. Big heart indeed. And a lot of sass.

Thank you. And yeah, those big dark eyes. My darling old dog had the same eyes.

How could you not fall in love with a freezing girl? Brilliant artwork, as usual!

I knooow! Every time she looked cold in the movie, I just wanted to wrap her up in a big bear pelt or something.

Ha ha! I do want to draw him more. I want to draw him in outfits. Outfits outfits. He would probably not appreciate being somebody's dress-up doll.

Yeah I feel like he would take exception to that. But it would be lovely!

Somewhere there's gotta be a fic about Anna asking him to the next big to-do at the castle. He'd like, gesture to his furs like, "Uh, notice: I ain't got but the one outfit", and Anna would get SUPER stoked to take him to the royal tailor. He'd protest and she'd pull rank on him and Sven would have a merry little laugh at Kristoff's expense.

OMG there must be!! Story accepted. Then she would have the royal tailors measure and find fabrics, and he would be so uncomfortable cause he never really had that kind of attention, and it would be a bonding moment of her being so excited about it, and him smiling through the awkward. I can image Olaf being full of opinions on the outfits or fabrics. "That one's too bright, too dull, hmm now he looks like Sven!"

Oh man. Yes! Olaf. That little dude is so sincere. And absolutely, I have to imagine Kristoff would bristle at the attention. Ha! I'm imagining some sweet little old lady who'd pinch his buns and tell him not to be so stiff.

Oh goodness, she would be all rosy cheeked and pleasantly plump, and think he's adorable! Oh bun pinches! And Anna would just be giggling behind her hand and coaxing him to be patient.

I didn't like Frozen but thought that Kristoph was the only character with some kind of sense (and he likes doing ventriloquy with his moose, yeaaaah), so such a lovely artwork *_*

I will say, Frozen had its good bits and bad bits. It had some very bad bits. But its heart was in the right place.

I have seen this movie around 4 times now, just recently with my mom. we both love Olaf, but Kristoff, just, a sweetie!! I know how Anna is because well, we both act the same way...not in choosing guys but....personality, and I am glad she ended up with the blonde goofball. He is wealthy in how large his heart is! Hans...he has no heart, well...maybe it is a placebo type heart....you think you got one, but then you realize " oh shit, I dont have one! OH WELL!" :T
for a princess Anna has a good punching arm ;D

She did really sock him a good one, didn't she? The thing is, I feel like the movie was half done before they realized, Oh crap, we don't have a villain! We'll make... THAT guy the villain. I mean, never trust a dude who wants to hook up the day you meet him, but he did a LOT that seemed really genuine, you know? He made sure the townspeople were taken care of. I guess that could've been all to serve his plan, but I don't know. I don't totally buy it. I'd like to see redemption. Just not in Arendelle.
You know, I totally expected Olaf to be the one who saved Anna. He was going to melt for her!

LeLittleLuna In reply to lily-fox [2014-03-01 07:44:16 +0000 UTC]
until he said "unless it is worth melting for....-starts melting the holds his face up- just not right now" xD
mhm i wonder if his brothers are good looking and might make him be a ice worker ;D
I was shocked when I saw that. I mean, THEY EVEN HAD THE SONG!
you dont have a song saying you like the other and then be fake! thats just too far!
my mom was so silly tonight, when the two goons of weaseltown went to get Anna, my mom went " why doesnt she just freeze them?" I tell her "cause it can kill them..."
she responds with. "then why doesnt she just kill them?" I took a second before I replied with "....it is a disney movie!" xD
but really, I feel like, at one point when they are asking for Elsa's approval to the marriage, when the sisters arent looking he has a evil smirk or something. JUST TO SHOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN! I mean...like...if it was me controlling the movie, when Hans was going to not kiss Anna, i would appear, push his head foreward and be all "KISS NOW!" :T the song was proof he should have liked her! HELL KRISTOFF AND ANNA DIDNT HAVE A SONG CONFESSING THE LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER...that was forced by he trolls...
what is funny, is the more you watch it over and over, the more you find what they could have added.
I was in storyboarding and an animation major, they could hve added hans true self somewhere, but...OH WAIT THEY DID!!!
it was hidden!
-pulling at straws-
remember when he was singing with Anna? he said the words "I was thinking the same thing! 'Cause like ,I've been searching my whole life to find my own place. And maybe it's the party talking or the chocolate fondue"
I'VE BEEN SEARCHING MY WHOLE LIFE TO FIND MY OWN PLACE!
he said it! why would you want to find your own place if you are a prince and have a home already?! -wiggles eyebrows-
amiright?!

Yeahhhh, point. Aw, I guess I just want to believe there's redemption for everybody. And hey, Kristoff and Anna didn't have a love song, but they did have like the entire movie to furnish their little fire. I married a big, sweet goof who talks for his animals and looks after a nutty redhead (who loves her sister more than her husband), so I'm particular to Kristoff.
Can't see him livin' in the castle, though! Maybe they'll build a nice chalet on the outskirts and find Sven a mate.

oh my god, YES, I got to see that happen!
a little short on how they attempt to get Sven a girl ;D like how they did for Tangled Happily Ever After. I think it is called.
and I agree, I cant see Kristoff living in a castle. And i think Anna would love living somewhere new.
like you said in a Chalet. Anna is too adventerous to stay in the caste xD
and you did?! awesome!
personally, I love Kristoff a lot. there needs to be more disney guys like him. D:
and you are right, they did have an entire movie to have the fire burn bright ;D
if I had to choose between Hans and Kistoff, i would choose Kristoff, even if I didnt know Hans was evil. Kristoff just has a spark to him. ya know?
btw, I love the image, makes me want to snuggle up and be all warm and cozy <3

He's a goof. He's genuine. That was the appeal; kindness, guilelessness. The OTHER man would've been an A+ dude if not for his treacheryyy!

He would have, I think that's what makes his character so sad... because you can see how good of a king he could have been if only he hadn't been such a dirtbag.

lily-fox In reply to PoetLaurie [2014-03-01 03:39:40 +0000 UTC]
Man, he already had wealth AND a title, and he just wanted more. Then you got Kristoff, a poor man with no family name, who just wanted carrots for his reindeer.
I'm gonna say it, though, our villain did a lot of kindhearted stuff that didn't serve his evil agenda. So clearly he isn't a total shithead. Just mostly a shithead.

Enough of one I hold out hope that, after he gets home and dealt with by his extensive family, he has a "Come to Odin" moment and realizes what a shithead he was simply

I was spoiled to the twist there beforehand, and then when I watched the movie I thought through the first half that maybe I had read something wrong. Have to say, I was a little sad about the twist just because there was no foreshadowing to it, and even when the character was by himself he did things that seemed like he was really genuine and into Anna.
Um, Kristoff is way more of a cutie sweetie though.

Right?? I felt the same way. Maybe if he was forced to go live in a hut with a reindeer for a while, or be a fisherman, he'd earn redemption. I mean hey, you got yer sequel right there!
However: agreed. There is something about big-nosed brutes with dark eyes and soft hearts.
