I took my mom to see Frozen and, naturally, fell in love with Kristoff. It was shockingly cold here in Hawaii when I drew this. Need a big warm heart.

Also, use of negative space and the foggy breath, wow. Really a different but completely perfect visual impact, like everything completely narrowed down to just these two.

The couple was pencil and paper, which I scanned and added hue in Photoshop. Their breath is a watercolor brush.

I'd take shocking cold: Hawaii, to shockingly cold: Mid-Atlantic/Lake states lol. Still so cute, but definitely giving the drive to move anywhere where it's not 20 degrees or less for four or five months of the year....

You know, today some dude in my coffeeshop was upset that the local weatherlady had referred to the 60-degree weather as "freezing". "In no state is that acceptable," he said. "There's 'cold' and 'chilly' and 'on the frosty side', but I'm from Minnesota, and when we say freezing, it means there are NO DEGREES outside."
Fair point, but I still had to put on socks and a coat.

LOL. Di's sister comes up from Tennessee in early summer/late spring, and complains about the weather. To be fair, the weatherlady needs smacked because everyone knows that freezing necessitates temperatures capable of...well, freezing things, namely water lol. It just sucks that I'm wayyyyyyyyy up on this damn hill, so even a dusting creates a problem when trying to get back up here in the morning.

I enjoy your art based on this movie more than I enjoyed the movie itself! ^_^ The implied protective embrace here is so sweet. The steamy effect over them is very effective at making the piece feel cold, demonstrating physical in addition to the emotional comfort. All hail snarky Kristoff!
On a side note, I am reading up on moving to Hawaii and saw the word haole... it took me a few minutes to realize where I'd first seen the word ever: in your etsy shop! Slow much? XD

Depending on where you are, it can get pretty darn cold here. In the mountains of Kauai it's chilly as hell, and up in the jungle where my sister lives. I live on a low plain on the hot end of Oahu, so it rarely dips below 65F. But I'm a baby about the cold, so.

You see, I live in the middle of Europe where cold weather is usual. And people like me think of Hawaii and other places as always (or mostly) warm, very warm

What I love about this is all of the blank space there is and then just how close Anna and Kristoff are drawn. It creates a very tight effect, which is very interesting! The muted colors are also great. Somber, but the brown still gives it warmth. ^^
