Description
A couple random sketches of Reggie: enjoying an afternoon breeze out his cottage window and hard at work in his haberdashery. Must be Kentucky Derby time.For those few curious, yes, I am still Brianna 's understudy for her and Rain 's webcomic, When Curiosity Met Insanity . When Bri is hard up for time to draw, I'll pop in and do my best.

Beautiful technique, as always. I absolutely love the brick wall in the image of Reg at the window - all the lines and corners look so precise! I'm a sucker for brick walls. I have no idea why. :0 Also, the pincushion looks a bit like a cupcake and suddenly I'm craving sweets!
Never worry about your love affair with sepia, dahlin! It's almost become your signature, and it suits your style wonderfully.

I used to hate brick houses. They looked dark and mean to me, like a fireplace. It grows on you, though. Maybe you have to be an adult to appreciate something that stands the test of time.

I know what you mean. Brick houses are pretty intimidating. But I think they've became a bit of a sophisticated classic, and I have grown fond of them. Y'know, just because seeing them where I live is a rare treat!

I love his focus with the hat, something about the look on his face just draws me in. It might have something to do with the tied back hair being a weakness of mine. You do a really great job of drawing him not crazy, or in lucid moments. I love the details and the color.

I know his hair's not usually long enough to pull back, but it's too good to resist.
You know something... Real insanity scares me. Insane people scare me. There's something indelibly attractive about Reggie, but I think I carefully sidestep his insanity as a personal preference.

Well of course, he's just so cute with it. Maybe when he was younger he had the long haired look.
That makes sense. I think most of his appeal is that he's unbalanced, but hasn't done any real harm so far. He's quite charming mostly lucid, but in a full blown break from reality he'd be terrifying.
