Description
A couple random sketches of Reggie: enjoying an afternoon breeze out his cottage window and hard at work in his haberdashery. Must be Kentucky Derby time. For those few curious, yes, I am still Brianna 's understudy for her and Rain 's webcomic, When Curiosity Met Insanity . When Bri is hard up for time to draw, I'll pop in and do my best.
props: Reggie belongs to &
materials: pencil & paper, hue in PS7
music: Benny Goodman, "I've Got A Gal In Kalamazoo"

I don't know why I just thought of this, but have you ever considered doing a genderswap of Reggie and Alice? XD

Beautiful work as always, Lily!
I just love how you capture Reg, right up there with Bri.

As I'm sure you're well aware this is splendiferous. Honestly I like your art more then Bri's.

I love these soooo much! The one where he's enjoying a breeze is sweet. I love seeing Reg in his workshop, though, hehe! He has such a look of focus in his eyes, like there's this one bit of bow that needs to stay *just so*.

Sorry that this has nothing to do with your picture, which is lovely by the way, but there is such a place as Kalamazoo. I should know I live there during the school year though this is my last year there.

I really love how you draw Reggie, some how he feels real. It's strange, well I'm strange I guess.

Not strange at all. Good characters feel real, so that was a very nice compliment.

Yeah, hehe. Thanks, I try to be as honest as possible... But really, I feel like he's supposed to move in the pictures you draw. So yeah. Heh.

Your pics have totally made me forget the man makes hats for his living. Including those flashy, fashionable womans hats, big british hats... Now he seems so sketchy again... Stick to top hats Reggie!

Oh my goodness! These are excellent, but what I was "oh my goodnessing!" was it is easy for me to forget he's a hatter! So at first I just thought it was cute and interesting seeing him at work on that lovely hat befure realization struck me.
I love the little details like the pin-cushion or the flowering foliage over brick. Lovely.

Ha ha, I've had a lot of people say that. It's nice to juxtapose his courtship craziness with the lucid genius of his work.

Everyone knows that back in the day "hatting" made the hatters crazy (wasn't it murcury?) but what do they use now days? Do humans even make hats anymore besides in art class? I think hat-making is kind of romantic... in an anachronistic kind of way (did I even spell that right?)

He looks younger to me in this pic. It seems like he is an apprentice to the shop owner or learning daddy's job. I love it!

I run into the problem of making him look young a lot. I don't know how to fix it. I think it's the size of his chin compared to the way Bri draws it.

I only noticed that in this picture and a few others like 2. You draw him as close to Bri than anyone else. In this picture I like how he looks younger.

I adore his look of consentration as he works on that hat. People tend to forget that, as the Hatter he does have an occupation beyond womanizer!

Haha, it's ironic, because usually, I think of Reggie as all over the place, but a neat workplace suits him (probably the irony is why it works). Fantastic job, as always!

Glad to know he actually does work. Plus his hair pulled back out of the way, the pins in his mouth, the intense concentration... it's surprisingly yummy.
Um. Is that a cupcake pin cushion? *wants*

It is totally a cupcake pincushion. It was going to be a turtle, but that seemed unnecessarily mean.
