lily-fox — How it's supposed to be

Description "I know," Dolly smiled at Woody, smiling at Bonnie as she fidgeted in a dream. "You think you'll never really love again. Then she picks you up and holds you and you can't remember what it was like to be lonely."

Where was she now, he wondered? Swimming with rainbow fish through sunken cities? Running through jungles of giant flowers? She had tucked him in beside her. Maybe she was singing in the streets of a little western town, where she would need a brave and loyal sheriff.

Had he ever been this happy?

I think I love Bonnie so much because she reminds me of my little sister (who is not so little now) when she was that age. Big dark eyes, cute as a bug's ear. She's always been so creative and funny and different, a galoshes-and-a-tutu kind of girl. And she was always sweet to her toys. She even had a Godzilla who had his own booties!

I hope it doesn't need to be said, but any inappropriate comments will get you deleted and blocked without prelude. Be nice.

bonnie's front yard and neighborhood look just like mine in my hometown. the ending really WAS bittersweet for me, because it wasn't just about leaving precious objects behind- when andy left, so did i. ;___;
my stomach did a flip every time bonnie was onscreen; she was so fucking adorable! i want a little girl to play dolls with!

My sister says the thing that really turn the waterworks on for her is the idea of children growing up and leaving parts of their childhood behind. I mean, that's part of life, and you don't have to stop being playful to be grown up, but I know what she means. I think the ending really struck a lot of college-age kids leaving home.

a lot of us literally grew up with andy; i think that's exactly the message the writers were trying to send, ma'am.
i'm lovin' this ts3 fan-art kick of yours, i must say<3

I really love Bunny too. I felt in love with her the first time I sa that character in the movie. I said to my husband: I would like a little girt like that!1 She's soo full of life and cute I'm glad that Woody was able to find a new home, a new kid to take care of

This picture reflects a lot the emotions, I like the way you work

Some people said they thought the third flick had a bittersweet ending, but I thought it was absolutely perfect. They all had one last amazing playtime together, and Bonnie is the best kid I could imagine for all of them.

And this almost made me cry for joy. It's such a lovely, wonderful picture. The warmth in Woody's face is just gorgeous.
You're amazing.

I can't stop, IT'S LIKE A SICKNESS... D:

Thank you! I'm such a huge crybaby, I cried listening to lullabyes while I drew this.

No one will give you any medicine to cure it, however. You must stay sick with your "Amazing Toy Story Fanart-athon" disorder forevaaaaaar!!

Waifine In reply to lily-fox [2010-07-23 11:07:58 +0000 UTC]

A beautiful, heartwarming sickness!!! Do not be cured!

A question. You said before that Toybox was probably not the last romance piece you would draw. Is that still true, or has cute and fuzzy won you over?

And being a crybaby is absolutely fine. The fact that you listen to lullabies is kind of epic.

lily-fox In reply to Waifine [2010-07-23 11:35:12 +0000 UTC]

You can absolutely expect more romance outta me. I'm shocked I haven't turned out anything I had to censor yet! But I'm on a warm n' fuzzy kick, after all the Red Dead!Woody anguish.

Holy crap, listen to Dixie chicks' "Lullaby". It makes me weep like a lost little girl.

Aaw, so adoreable! My littlest brother is 5, and he has an enormous head, so he still has that little child cuteness and gets away with murder.

My sister teaches at a Gymboree, so she sees the best of her kids, mostly, and loves them. I still don't know how to behave around kids. When it isn't exhausting, is it totally ridiculous fun?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

roolsilver In reply to lily-fox [2010-07-23 13:49:34 +0000 UTC]

...it's always exhausting. I'm not quite ready for my own yet, so I still just borrow my mom's and squee over my nephews. Tomorrow my two youngest brothers (5&7) are going to a reptile expo(snakes and lizards, hooray!) and they spend the night at my house sometimes. We make insane pirate movies, or go to the library, and we watch all the movies I want to but they're my excuse. IT's awesome.

Oh Disney is just so classic and heartwarming. Its full of heartfelt storys. Back when Disney wasn't afraid of telling the story. When there was death and love and everything was magical. The classics. They will always be.
