"I know," Dolly smiled at Woody, smiling at Bonnie as she fidgeted in a dream. "You think you'll never really love again. Then she picks you up and holds you and you can't remember what it was like to be lonely."Where was she now, he wondered? Swimming with rainbow fish through sunken cities? Running through jungles of giant flowers? She had tucked him in beside her. Maybe she was singing in the streets of a little western town, where she would need a brave and loyal sheriff.
Had he ever been this happy?
I think I love Bonnie so much because she reminds me of my little sister (who is not so little now) when she was that age. Big dark eyes, cute as a bug's ear. She's always been so creative and funny and different, a galoshes-and-a-tutu kind of girl. And she was always sweet to her toys. She even had a Godzilla who had his own booties!
I hope it doesn't need to be said, but any inappropriate comments will get you deleted and blocked without prelude. Be nice.

D'aaaaw, this is made of adorable. I don't normally like small children, but Bonnie and her endless imagination really struck a chord with me. She was just so cute and made her toys so happy. Anyway, this is beautifully drawn and perfectly in-character.

Gaaah, so cute! She reminds me of one of the girls we had during Playschool at my school. The Child Development students held Playschool (well our teacher did technically) and we'd have preschoolers come in and we would teach them for that hour. It was so much fun, and she reminds me of my girl Cassidy. She was the sweetest little girl, and she adored glitter and her bunny plushie she'd bring to class every day. Toy Story always makes me remember the good times <3

This is the sweetest picture ever. You have truly evoked the spirit of a child in this piece. I admit I was a bit befuddled by the fact the Woody was actually touching her (I don't know why really. Maybe I just happened to notice that the toys never actually tried touching their owner like that before) and the more pronounced blush on his cheeks. But I still love the picture. In fact, those aren't even anything to worry about.
My favorite part of this picture is actually the purple in it. I don't know why, but I feel like sepia or monochrome--even pink--wouldn't do it the justice it did that you had with purple. The color truly makes the picture all the more sweeter.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked this. I went through all the colors, yeah, and purple was perfect. Reminded me of snow light, you know how the world looks when the moonlight filters through the cotton clouds. Always feels so cozy.
I know it would be pretty bold for a toy to touch their owner, but kids sleep so deeply sometimes. I was imagining Bonnie having a nightmare, fidgeting in her dream, and Woody not being able to help putting a tiny hand on her shoulder or stroking her hair to let her know everything was alright in the world, and wherever she was now.

I found it sad that Woody left Andy for her. Sure she'll play and take care of them, but I thought the idea was to wait till Andy had kids and viola! But oh well.

Well, but in the end, it was Andy's decision. Which was the idea, I think. Woody probably climbed in the box, thinking, He can take me or leave me. I think it worked out pretty well.

What also struck me was how Woody was trying to show the other toys that they were Andy's and they'd always be there for him, but at the end he did a 180 and wanted to be donated.
Thought he film introduced new toys, I don't know if they'd continue this great series. The whole series felt like a good bye. Bo was gone, the army men saying their mission is complete.
What a way to go.

My sister is ten, and she's a lot like Bonnie, too! Big eyes, the most beautiful dark wavy hair and an imagination that never sleeps. She still plays with her toys (some of them that used to be mine!) and it's just adorable.
