"I know," Dolly smiled at Woody, smiling at Bonnie as she fidgeted in a dream. "You think you'll never really love again. Then she picks you up and holds you and you can't remember what it was like to be lonely."Where was she now, he wondered? Swimming with rainbow fish through sunken cities? Running through jungles of giant flowers? She had tucked him in beside her. Maybe she was singing in the streets of a little western town, where she would need a brave and loyal sheriff.
Had he ever been this happy?
I think I love Bonnie so much because she reminds me of my little sister (who is not so little now) when she was that age. Big dark eyes, cute as a bug's ear. She's always been so creative and funny and different, a galoshes-and-a-tutu kind of girl. And she was always sweet to her toys. She even had a Godzilla who had his own booties!
I hope it doesn't need to be said, but any inappropriate comments will get you deleted and blocked without prelude. Be nice.

This is so sweet. When i was a kid i had a couple of special toys but i never really played with them, i even got rid of ALL my toys later on a whim and my gosh i regret that. <3 I only wish i was a child like that back then, but i'm a child like that now instead X3. Love this picture, brilliant job as usual.

This is absolutely adorable (and incredibly like the artistic style of the films)! It's as though Woody is her guardian angel (or doll). You should seriously get a job at Pixar drawing concept art for them.

Wow, thank you! It seems like it's really hard to make the characters really look like themselves without making them 3d, you know? But a lot of people are really good at it!

You're welcome! Oh, yeah, I totally know what you mean. I tried making OC's of my friends in "Cars"-style a while back ago, and I found it difficult to make them look like they pop out of the picture and not look so 2D. But, you don't have to make a piece of art appear 3D for it to stand out, if you know what I mean.

I just saw the movie again today and I love it soo much. Bonnie is soo cute. I love how when she hides in her wicket trunk and say's to woody, "She'll never find us in here! What's wrong?" And she raised the witch to appear sinster like behind her. It's sooo cute! I love this piece.

This image made me all wistful and teary-eyed within a second of seeing it. Then again, I just saw Toy Story again and my heartstrings are a little tangled up right now. XD Still...this is very sweet, and just kinda makes it feel like a blanket's been wrapped around my heart.
Especially with Woody's expression, and the beautiful serenity of a child sleeping. <3
(Oh! And while I was watching TS3 Woody pulled his hat down low over his eyes when he was mad at one point. Just thought I'd let you know, since it instantly made me think of you!

I know, that movie's such a rollercoaster for your heart. A lot of people felt sort of heartsore at the end, with the goodbyes, but I thought it was the all-time best hello!

Woody being mad...which still amounts to Woody being sexy, sometimes. XD Ah, what a delightful character.
Me too! My thought immediately following the first time I saw it was, "where's my paper and pen--it's time to write some fanfiction!" *laughs* There's just so much..opportunity that the Pixar company has pretty much laid at our feet! There's so much we can do with what's been given us, and there are deliberate pieces of the plot that they've left open to further thought. *nods* I was really happy with the end, to be honest, although there were two specific moments that really made me ache. One being the incinerator, of course, but the other...
...the other was when Bonnie tried to reach for Woody and Andy immediately pulled back, without thought but of instinct. Like he didn't even really think about it, he just knew that Woody was meant to be his toy. And then when he realized that he had to let go, and was describing Woody's characteristics...that's when my eyes teared up. That was the moment for me when I knew that TS3 was one of my all-time favorites.
Anyway, I'm rambling.

I know, I've been thinking of all the various scenes that were pivotal but left to us. I don't know, like Woody climbing back into the box Andy was taking to Bonnie's place. Or losing Bo Peep, of course. :\ Not sure I want to read that tearjerker. But I haven't got into fanfic much. Anything you recommend?
That scene, oh my god. Yes, I feel you. Andy realized it just after Woody did, that Bonnie needed him now, and that Woody needed her, too. So bittersweet!

Exactly! Or what conversations went on during the night in which they were under lockdown. (Perhaps Jessie attempted to talk to Buzz? That we do not know. *shrugs*) Or what are Andy's feelings when he's at college--does he think about his toys often?

This is like, the sweetest thing ever. I love the sketchiness about it, and Bonnie looks so pretty. I marvel at how well you are with the detail of their expressions. And the little story for it was perfect. <3
I remember watching TS3, and the moment Bonnie came into the screen, I said to myself: this little girl is going to own all of Andy's old toys by the end of this movie. I totally called it.
