Description
Jenny's old boyfriend Lucas was too interesting not to revisit. She cuts his hair for him in the bathtub at a motel somewhere in the desert.Aside from their mismatched criminal bent and Lucas' possessive tendencies, it could never have worked because the man looks so damn serious. Jenny knows by now that if she never hears a man laugh -- like, totally ripped up and crying -- it just ain't gonna last. Lucas has heavier things on his mind.
Lucas was raised to be hard, raised mostly alone, in a border town full of drugs and ghosts and fools who moved money around. The less he said, the safer he was, so he became a man of almost no words at all. No ear would ever hear how many men he'd killed. And Jenny would never know how he loved her, and how he hated that love, because he had never needed anything so desperately in his life. It felt like a gunshot.
Jenny did good things for Lucas, and she wasn't the last woman who would love him. This time, she left him a better man.

Jenny's stories makes my heart hurt and sometimes shiver... but in the best way possible.
I wanna hug her.

I cannot tell you how much I love hearing that. I mean, I don't love that anyone's heart ever hurts, but that her stories make you really feel something is so special, I don't have words for it. Thank you.

The face of that guy, the expression especially reminds me of Sugar in No Country for Old Men. Love that.
Also this whole picture and the description reminds me of a relationship I once had, it's very full of emotion for me. I love this. Love. Love.

You mean Chigurh? Anton Chigurh? Well, he was played by Javier Bardem, so there you go!

Yeah I realized when I scoped the next drawing that that's what you were going for. In which case I guess this means you've accomplished it, cuz that's all I see. Minus the goofy haircut. Something about him is so oddly appealing.
Also apologies for the horrid misspelling, I've never seen it written, blushiiiiing.

So you're also a great writer. A pity you don't feel like writing. The things you come up with would make a wonderful story.
Also, teehee, you really like Javier Bardem!

Aw wow, thank you! I just have a lot of fun writing about Jenny. Most of the people in her life are people I knew.
And oh man. Javier Bardem. Like God's own chocolate, I would lick his shadow off the hot sidewalk.

Really?? So it's almost autobio. I do get inspiration from my own experiences when I write, but I haven't assigned a real person to any character yet Except perhaps me, to both main characters. Kinda like the light and dark parts of me.
Pfffffflol! I would never have thought of that expression! I hope to remember it, it is gold!

I may or may not have released an undignified squeal upon seeing this. (Hint: I MAY.) Your Bardem is--- exquisite. You have utterly captured his broody soulful deliciousness in one broody soulful look. LOVE the intimacy of the pose and the situation--- such trust and tenderness! He looks so thoughtful... what I wouldn't give to be privy to those thoughts. *___*
And let me tell you (continuing our conversation from the last thread), that is one saucy dream. My compliments to the dreamer. Although Senor Bardem has never paid me any nighttime visits, I will admit to nocturnal dalliances with Mr. Brody (back when The Pianist was in theatres and I was dazzled by his beauty on the big screen) and, yes, Nicolas Cage--- he was in character as Castor Troy, and if you've seen Face/Off, you can imagine the crazy time we had.
JUST. FOUND. YOUR LABYRINTH ART. Ohhhhh, we are truly of one mind when it comes to our taste in men.

Ha ha! Dude, I had written this little blog post about how I was crushing on three essentially interchangeable men: Bardem, Morgan and Robert Downey Jr. I spent most of Watchmen thinking the Comedian was Downey!
